Sam Hughes wins Game Dev Hero award

We are very proud to share the news that Sam Hughes has won the Audio category in the first ever Game Dev Heroes Awards.

Sam, who joined IGGI in 2015, is a well-known figure in the Audio community. He founded The Sound Architect, a site that offers reviews & interviews for the game audio community. 

Commenting on his work and worthy win, the Awards team say that

“Sam [& the team] have massively helped to raise the profile & understanding of games Audio in recent years. Sam’s a great ambassador & his work is genuinely appreciated.”

Sam‘s research focuses on affect and emotion in games. He is currently working as an intern at Remedy Entertainment for the industry placement component of the IGGI PhD programme.
